JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A antheral accused of ramming a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office cruiser portion it was parked astatine a Westside sub-station connected Saturday was arrested aft a standoff.

According to JSO, officers saw the antheral thrust his Jeep into a cruiser astir 8:30 p.m. astatine the substation disconnected Blanding Boulevard.

The antheral refused officers commands to exit his vehicle, JSO said, and continued to thrust into the parked cruiser. JSO said officers yet pinned the Jeep successful spot with 2 different constabulary cars arsenic helium continued his attempts to thrust done the parked cruiser. After a 25-minute standoff, the antheral got retired of the Jeep and was taken into custody by K9 and patrol officers.

JSO said helium was taken to a section infirmary for valuation and charged with felony vandalism.
