Child wanders from home, drowns in neighbor’s pool, police say

A kid younger than 5 years aged wandered distant from location Saturday and was recovered successful a neighbor’s pool, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

The incidental was reported conscionable aft 2 p.m. connected River Hills Court, which is disconnected Atlantic Boulevard, conscionable eastbound of University Boulevard.

Paramedics were called and took the kid to a section hospital, but life-saving measures were not successful, constabulary said.

It appears the drowning was accidental, constabulary said, but an probe is ongoing.
