JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – In a Monday evening tweet, Mayor Lenny Curry revealed the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department is presently helping Clay County Fire Rescue with exigency runs.
The tweet says its owed to covid-19-related staffing and telephone volumes. It reads successful part:
“Under communal assistance agreements, our Jax Fire and Rescue is present helping Clay County w exigency runs. Covid related staffing & telephone volumes determination mean we request to assistance our neighbors.”
As he’s done passim the COVID-19 pandemic, Curry asked for anyone eligible for a vaccination to “do your part,” and get a COVID shot.
